Privacy Notice
California Dispatcher Practice is designed so you can practice without creating an account. This notice explains what the application stores on your device and what may be processed by ordinary website infrastructure.
1. Practice data stored on your device
When you finish a test, the application attempts to save a compact attempt summary in your browser’s local storage. The summary may include the practice-test number and title, completion date, raw score, number correct, total questions, elapsed time, and section percentages. The application limits history to recent attempts. Detailed answers, practice notes, audio transcripts, your name, and contact information are not included in the saved attempt summary.
2. No application account or server-side practice database
The practice application does not require registration and is not designed to send your test responses, notes, or local attempt history to an application database. Your saved attempt summary remains within the browser profile and device where you took the test unless your browser or device independently syncs browser data. We do not control browser or device syncing.
3. How to delete local attempt history
Use “Clear local history” on the practice-test home screen. You may also clear site data through your browser settings. Clearing browser data, using private-browsing mode, changing browsers or devices, or reinstalling a browser may erase the history. Because we do not keep a server copy, we generally cannot restore locally deleted history.
4. Website infrastructure information
Like most websites, hosting, security, content-delivery, browser, and network providers may automatically process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This can include an IP address, request date and time, requested page, referrer, device/browser type, approximate region derived from an IP address, and security or diagnostic events. Those providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not use the practice application to sell your test history or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The attempt-history feature uses local storage rather than a login cookie. The hosting platform or browser may still use essential cookies or similar technologies for security, routing, access control, or reliable service. Browser settings may let you block or delete these technologies, but doing so can affect site functionality.
6. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because the application does not use practice history for targeted advertising or sale, it does not currently alter that local-history behavior in response to a browser Do Not Track setting. If practices change to include activity that is legally subject to opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control, this notice and the site’s controls should be updated accordingly.
7. Sensitive information
Do not enter real caller information, criminal-justice information, medical information, confidential agency information, official exam content, passwords, government identifiers, or other sensitive personal information into practice notes. The scenarios are fictional and do not require real personal information.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly design it to collect personal information from children under 13. If the operator learns that such information was collected through a future site feature, it should be deleted as required by applicable law.
9. Security and retention
No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Local storage is accessible to people or software with access to your browser profile or device. Protect your device and browser account. Local attempt summaries remain until you clear them, browser settings remove them, or the application’s history limit replaces older entries. Infrastructure providers may retain technical logs for security, legal, and operational periods determined by their policies.
10. Third-party links
Links to California POST and other third-party sites are governed by those sites’ privacy practices. Opening an external link may disclose ordinary request information to that third party. We are not responsible for a third party’s privacy or security practices.
11. Changes and contact
This notice may be updated as the Service or applicable requirements change. The effective date will be revised when an update is posted. Privacy questions may be submitted through any monitored contact method the operator publishes on the Service. Because local attempt history is not held in an application account or database, the operator generally cannot access, correct, export, or delete it for you; use the on-device controls described above.
