Our First Chapter: 773 Practice Activities and Counting

Nearly seven weeks of practice

Since launching on August 30, 2026, California Dispatcher Practice has been growing through small practice sessions and a shared goal. Nearly seven weeks later, we wanted to capture this first milestone.

As of October 17, 2026, California Dispatcher Practice has recorded 773 completed training activities across 345 participating browsers. That includes 14 full practice tests and extended simulations, along with hundreds of opportunities to practice listening, typing, remembering details, and making decisions.

The browser count is approximate and isn't a count of individual people, but the progress gives us something worth celebrating: these tools are getting used.

Small practice sessions. A bigger goal.

Preparing for a dispatcher test can feel intimidating, especially when you're exploring an entirely new career. Where do you start? What should you practice? How do you build confidence without knowing exactly what test day will feel like?

That's why we built a place to practice at your own pace.

A few minutes of questions. A fictional call that challenges your listening skills. A dispatch scenario that makes you stop and think. Or a longer test to work on pacing and concentration.

Every session is another opportunity to learn something, notice a mistake, and come back a little more prepared.

More than numbers on a page.

Our hope is that this website helps someone take a step toward a career they're excited about.

We can't tell from these statistics who has passed an official exam or landed a job, but helping people feel more prepared is exactly why this project exists.
